What do you need to start?
- You must be certified to teach Tumbling to children according to the laws of your country/employer’s requirements. An up to date Professional Certification is mandatory.
- You must have insurance for yourself as an owner/ trainer as well as for your business entity, your partner(s) and your staff.
- You must have up to date First Aid Qualification. In South Africa, you need a level 2 First Aid certification.
- You must be vetted and prove that you have never been convicted of a sexual offence against a child or a mentally disabled person; or deemed unsuitable to work with children in any way. In SA, this means you have obtained a police clearance certificate and are not on the National Child Protection Register. Please check the laws of your country and comply with them.
- You must be a member of an accredited governing body in your country. Examples include: Gymnastics SA, British Gymnastics, USA Gymnastics, Cheerleading USA, Ninja Sports International; Parkour South Africa, Register of Exercise Professionals South Africa (REPSSA) (Crossfit); USASF; USA SportCheer UK (SCUK) South African Fitness Sport Aerobics Federation | TeamSA. There are many more legitimate governing bodies that cover tumbling training for children. Please check the laws of your country.
- You must have indemnity forms and waivers.
- You need a part time/full time facility lease agreement.
- You need basic gymnastics tumbling equipment.
